Brooklyn Invades Pittsburgh and Texas to follow
Vocalist Tre Nation and guitarist Johnny Baab both Brooklyn natives now find themselves transplanted in the Steel City launching a new brand of rock n blues, The Ghost Hounds. The rock steady rhythms of guitarist Thomas Tull along with bassist Bennett Miller and drummer Blaise Lanzetta round out the band’s fiery brand of rock n roll. These five musicians will bring down the house with a mixture of music fused with blues, rock and plenty of soul. The smooth voice of Tre Nation is reminiscent of the late great soul singers like Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. The girls will cry, the crowds will scream. Johnny Baab though a Brooklyn native is steeped in Texas Rock and Blues making both Stevie Ray Vaughan and Billy Gibbons proud.
Texas based Guitarist/Producer/Songwriter David Grissom along with songwriter Kevin Bowe (Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd) team up with Thomas Tull on the Ghost Hounds songwriting and studio production to help get the project into high gear. Grissom brings a wealth of Texas music to the studio gathered from his years of performing with Joe Ely, Storyville and The Dixie Chicks. Legendary engineer/producer Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Kiss) adds his magic touch to the recordings. Special guest Reese Wynans (Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Double Trouble & The Joe Bonamassa Band) joins the band adding piano and Hammond B3 to the mix along with drummer Kenny Aronoff whose signature drum sounds highlight the performances.
Pittsburgh along with the rest of the world get ready, ’cause the Ghost Hounds are coming your way with a new album slated for a July release.
