Hey,
I have just moved into an old apartment with my boyfriend. We know it used to be like a sunday school area or some offices, still unknown to exactly what it is. So, we have been here about a month and there have been three 'experiences' of question. The first one was just the sound of a pot falling off of a shelf in the cupboard of our kitchen, the second was my bf hearing a girl crying (he thought it was me, I was in the kitchen) the last was the one that made me want to do some investigatin', I was in the living room and heard lots of things falling off of the cupboard shelf, i thought that maybe it was just some random fall, but it was stopping and starting in quick succession in an un-natural way. I promptly fleed the apt. and waited for my bf to get home... when he got home, we checked it out and nothing was moved?!

So, finally, the questions-
is it normal for ghosts to knock stuff over and then put it back?

We don't get any negative vibes, which is a good sign, but what could be goin on? Should we just leave it be since it doesn't seem to be that obtrusive?

Any advice?

This could be due to geomagnetic disturbances. Persinger has theorized that under specific conditions a compression effect can occur which would produce such effects. It also may have been either a sound of normal origin which you simply were unable to locate, or it might have been an hallucination. The most likely explanations are hallucination or geomagnetic origin since both of these would account for why you found no physical evidence.
If the sounds become common (which I imagine is not a goal) you might try audio recording just to determine whether the sounds are or are not physical. Otherwise remain calm as there is little other evidence of anything that requires immediate concern or attention.
